Firefighting Service in the Philippines

Bryan, Employee Prepack - Belgium

When I was 24, I decided to set up an operational fire service for volunteers in Tubay Agusan del Norte Mindanao in the Philippines, the birthplace of my mother. I built up a network in the firefighting world and collected materials and firefighting clothing for a long time. I managed to set up the DLF TADENCAM Fire & Rescue Brigade together with my cousins in Tubay. This officially started on August 17, 2013, with 47 volunteers. In 2014, the fire departments of Knokke-Heist, Kortrijk and Zonnebeke each donated a fire-fighting vehicle. I am still looking for sponsorships to ship 1 intervention car and a functional car pump.

The services and tasks of the brigade are completely free for the residents of Tubay, including ambulance transport. The post is fully committed to optimal protection of society. In a region with 67 municipalities, it is the only fire service that has hydraulic rescue equipment and other professional tools. The rainy season is a very busy period. There are landslides, earthquakes, typhoons, objects on the road surface and flooding.
